Located at 60 Cherry Hinton Road in Cambridge, Kanto serves Filipino and Korean bakes rooted in personal history. The founders named their bakery after the word for corner, envisioning a place where different culinary traditions could meet. What began as weekend baking to recreate childhood flavours gradually expanded into a full kitchen. They renovated the premises themselves and developed every recipe from scratch, prioritising handcraft over convenience.

Signature pastries and savouries

Filipino pastry traditions shape the sweet trays behind the glass, starting with matcha cream buns and a purple yam Basque cheesecake. Pillowy ensaymada pastries arrive dusted with mild cheese alongside generous swirls of buttercream. Mid morning brings savoury options like egg sandwich rolls brushed with kimchi butter and sesame seeds. A tuna mayo focaccia topped with sweetcorn sits beside these items when lunch service begins.
