The story

Eusebi Deli & Restaurant Glasgow – Authentic Italian Flavours in the West End

Born in Italy, Made in Glasgow

The sign above the door at 152 Park Road says it plainly: Food, Family, Life & Passion. At Eusebi Deli & Restaurant, those words are not decoration — they trace directly back to a grandmother's table in southern Italy, where food was homegrown, seasonal and shared. That table is the template for everything served here today.

The story began forty years ago when the Eusebi family started importing artisan products and specialist produce from across Italy — a practice the deli carries on to this day. At the heart of it all is Giovanna Eusebi, who grew up with childhood memories of harvesting grapes and preserving tomatoes in southern Italy. She brings that same instinct for quality and provenance to every corner of the restaurant.

Artisan Produce, Honest Cooking

The philosophy is straightforward: buy only from suppliers who share the same passion for authentic Italian food. That means fresh buffalo mozzarella from Naples, wines from small independent vineyards, artisan cheeses, and homemade Italian sausage and pastas. The menu draws its character from Rome and Calabria, and the kitchen leans on what is seasonal and available — daily market dishes sitting alongside the fresh pasta and bakery that have become signatures of the place.

The day runs from early morning pastries through brunch, lunch and aperitivo, all the way to dinner — seven days a week. An aperitivo and cocktail list, a dedicated vegan menu, and a breakfast offering round out the range, making Eusebi as comfortable for a weekday coffee as for a weekend dinner.

Recognition Worth Noting

Gambero Rosso — Italy's most authoritative food and wine guide — awarded Eusebi its Fork distinction, a mark of quality that places this Glasgow Italian restaurant in select company. For a neighbourhood deli and restaurant rooted in southern Italian tradition, that kind of recognition from the Italian establishment speaks directly to the integrity of what Giovanna and her team have built.

The result is a space that feels genuinely Italian without pretence: warm, ingredient-led, and anchored in the idea that a good table exists to bring people together.

The Good Food Guide — Good

'So good to have Eusebi raise the bar in this local neighbourhood,’ is a typically enthusiastic endorsement for this Scottish/Italian marriage made in Glasgow. Giovanna Eusebi’s jam-packed deli/café/restaurant hybrid cherishes the time-honoured traditions of her homeland and leavens them with ample supplies of seasonal Scottish produce. Occupying a colourful red-and-white corner site, the venue scores heavily with breakfast and brunch, served to a merry throng of workers and shoppers in the ground-floor space. Come for eggs ‘energia’ (with avocado, chilli and lime purée) or one of their savoury breakfast rolls; alternatively, breeze in for coffee and a sweet treat. If you want something more substantial, graduate to the downstairs dining room for plates of pork cheek ragù, gnocchi genovese or, perhaps, one of the big main courses such as chargrilled halibut with courgette and basil purée. After that, cakes and classic desserts have plenty of Italian swagger. Regional wines from the old country keep company with aperitivi, vermouths and spritzes. Eusebi’s slogan is ‘Food, Family, Life and Passion’ – which just about sums it up. Picture credits: Gerardo Jaconelli
