The story

Fallachan Kitchen: Intimate Chef's Table in Glasgow – Michelin Recommended

The Space

Fallachan Kitchen is an intimate, 12-seat communal chef’s table tucked under a railway arch in Glasgow. The open kitchen places the entire dining experience in full view, with chef and guests sharing the same room. The restaurant describes itself as a space where the conviviality of entertaining friends meets serious cooking.

The Food

Menus change with the seasons, built on hyper-local, seasonal produce. This is Modern Cuisine that tells the story of its Scottish locations in each bite. Chef Craig Grozier, who founded Fallachan Dining in 2012, brings a commitment to innovative and intrinsic cooking. Lunch and dinner tasting menus evolve throughout the year—spring and summer offerings are available on rotating schedules, with reservations open accordingly.

Recognition

Fallachan Kitchen earned a Michelin recommendation for 2026, a nod to the precision and warmth of the experience. The Times called it “a sensory dining experience that immerses you not just in the kitchen, but in Scotland itself.” The Scotsman noted that “if the chef’s table comes from entertaining friends in a convivial space, Fallachan nails this while offering truly exciting dishes.” The restaurant also extends its approach through Fallachan Dining, offering private chef services, wild dining, and corporate events, all rooted in the same deep-seated passion for quality.

Craig Grozier’s cooking is deft, confident and pared back to the essence of ingredients and flavour, but there are many good chefs who do that. What's different is the small scale, the communality, the sense of discovery in a quasi-industrial venue in a hidden location – a re-purposed railway arch on the southernmost fringes of the West End. Here, all the senses are engaged: the smell of open fire cooking, the percussive rumble of overhead trains, the clatter of knives and pans. But with just twelve seats at a communal table in the kitchen, not everyone will like it – we certainly wouldn't head here for an intimate date night. That said, the staff are adept at managing and enabling a positive and celebratory atmosphere and facilitating that sense of being at some exclusive or secret event. Unquestionably Scottish while integrating wider geographic and stylistic influences, the set lunch and evening tasting menus have a strong seasonal identity and are a homage to those who grow, forage, harvest or preserve. Ambitious cocktails with a local twist and imaginative wine pairings are offered by a passionate sommelier. And it works, although with quite limited opening hours, it’s hard to get a reservation.
