The story
Chef owner Neil leads the kitchen alongside his wife Mel and sister Ellie, who have run the venue since opening in 2017. The team sources fish directly from nearby harbours and partners with North Wales farms for beef and lamb. Every plate leaves the pass freshly prepared to order, allowing the specials board to shift daily with the catch. This steady commitment to regional suppliers earned them recognition in The Good Food Guide for 2026.
The brasserie kitchen balances familiar comfort standards with broader global influences across the floor. Crispy chicken wings arrive glazed in garlic Parmesan butter while Welsh Cheddar croquettes pair with black garlic and leeks. Guests frequently share dry aged Tomahawk rib eye steaks or roasted whole seabass when those options appear on the board. The service concludes with a famous Snickers trifle built from malt panna cotta and peanut caramel, a pudding popular enough to be packed away for later.
The modern two storey building features an attractively open plan ground floor alongside secluded seating pockets. A striking pictorial relief depicting island artisans anchors one wall above the main dining area. Visitors can step upstairs to The Nook Bar for coffee or settle in for evening cocktails. The beverage list ranges from mango daiquiris and elderflower lemonade to local Welsh beers and affordable red and white selections.
