The story
Tucked beneath a historic railway arch in Battersea, Archway is a neighbourhood Italian restaurant and wine bar driven by the seasons. The space is relaxed and contemporary, just steps from Battersea Park, and offers a private hire venue for events. The restaurant’s mission is to celebrate the provenance of food and drink with seamless execution and outstanding service, and it holds ISO certifications for event and environmental management.
Head Chef Franco De Lucia, born in Naples and raised in Florence, brings a love for fresh, simple ingredients to every plate. His cooking is shaped by his mother’s homemade pasta and a deep respect for the land. The small, ever-evolving menu celebrates the connection between land and table, featuring freshly picked farm vegetables, wild herbs and fruits, Wiltshire truffles, and South Coast fish. Sustainability is at the heart of everything, with growing and foraging as key practices.
The wine list changes regularly, chosen by the team for a mix of high quality and interesting bottles. Archway’s focus on produce, people, and the planet has earned it a Michelin Recommended distinction, recognising its thoughtful approach to Italian cuisine in London. Whether for a quiet dinner or a private celebration, the restaurant delivers a unique connection between the land and your table.
