Open from 4pm daily, the bar welcomes walk-ins and offers table reservations for those arriving before 9pm. After that, VIP Entry provides priority in any queue. The venue is Covent Garden's smallest bar, seating up to six guests per table, and stays open until 1am every night. Early arrivals can enjoy 2-for-1 on selected cocktails, bubbles, and beer before 8pm, while nightcaps are served from midnight.

The atmosphere is deliberately shadowy and theatrical, with live acts every evening from 9pm and occasional weekend afternoon events. There is no door charge. Cellar Door has held a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for over a decade and is featured in Time Out's list of the best bars in Covent Garden.
