The story

Crisp Pizza W6 in London | Low-and-Slow Electric Oven Pies

The oven and the dough

Crisp Pizza W6 in London prepares every pizza using a low and slow technique inside dedicated electric bread ovens. The method forces moisture out of the dough gradually, which produces a crust that stays crisp on the outside while remaining pleasantly chewy underneath. This approach replaces the traditional wood-fired blast with consistent electric heat, letting the flour develop its natural sweetness without charring the edges.

Toppings and pairings

The kitchen keeps the menu grounded in familiar Italian cooking, focusing on quality ingredients rather than complex inventions. The artisan pepperoni arrives alongside San Marzano tomatoes, fresh fior di latte, and a drizzle of hot honey that balances the spice. Guests typically wash these slices down with selections from the pub’s updated wine list, which features crisp whites and light reds that cut through the richness of the cheese.

The pub setting

Operating as a pop-up within The Chancellors pub on Crisp Road, the operation draws steady crowds just behind Sam’s Riverside. Customers line up outside during warmer months when tables spill onto the pavement, though indoor dining remains equally busy. The Good Food Guide named this operation a Local Gem in 2026, specifically praising how the long queues are always justified by the consistently crisp results.

The Good Food Guide — Local Gem

*Crisp Pizza is relocating to The Marlborough in Mayfair in Autumn 2025.* Holed up within the Chancellors pub on Crisp Road (just behind Sam’s Riverside), this hugely popular pop-up stands out from the crowd because its pizzas are baked comparatively ‘low and slow’ in electric bread ovens. The texture of the crusts is everything (crisp outside but chewy within), while the toppings are mostly traditional favourites – the artisan pepperoni version with San Marzano tomatoes, fior di latte and hot honey was our pick of the bunch. Wines from the pub’s updated list go down well, and outdoor seating is a bonus in fine weather. Be prepared for long (but totally justified) queues.
