The story
Decimo is chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias’s debut London restaurant, a place where the Spanish cooking of his family meets his deep love for Mexico. The result is bold, confident Mexican cuisine delivered on the tenth floor of The Standard, London.
The entry sets the tone: you ride an exterior red-pill lift to reach the dining room, and when the doors open you are met with floor-to-ceiling windows and a sweeping panorama of the London skyline. Light floods the space, and the views become part of the experience — a restaurant that feels genuinely airborne.
Sanchez-Iglesias, a Michelin-starred chef, has crafted a menu built around big, clear flavours designed for sharing. Tacos and fresh-pressed tortillas sit alongside aguachiles, open-fire grilled meats and seafood, and vibrant vegetable-led plates. Gambas Rojas — red prawns — are a signature, and the cocktails lean heavily on mezcal. The kitchen also turns out a rendition of the tortilla that is, by the chef’s own description, dramatically different from any other in the city.
The restaurant has been recognised with a Michelin Recommended award in 2026 — a fitting nod to the precise cooking and confident personality of the place. The atmosphere is lively and refined, suitable for an occasion but not stiff. Dishes come bright and fast, the bar is serious about its spirits, and the timing of the meal can stretch late into the night.
Decimo serves dinner from Tuesday through Saturday, with brunch on Saturday afternoons from noon. The dress code asks for no flip-flops, shorts or ties — and after 8pm the room is for over-16s only. Bookings open 30 days in advance.
