The story
On Phipp Street, in the thick of Shoreditch, Duchy takes a different path. Where the neighbourhood leans industrial and loud, this restaurant is a quiet, deliberate nod to the Savoy. The reference is not decorative—it runs through the cooking and the room.
The kitchen is led by Lucy Timm, whose approach to European contemporary cuisine is precise and ingredient-driven. The menu changes regularly, reflecting what is best at the market, but the sensibility remains constant: clean technique, clear flavours, no fuss. There is a sample menu available for those who want to know what to expect, and a group sample menu for larger parties.
Duchy earned a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026, a recognition that matches the restaurant’s quiet ambition. The cooking does not shout, but it holds attention.
The dining room is air-conditioned and serves lunch from 12pm to 2.30pm, dinner from 6pm to 10pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Private parties can be arranged. The wine menu is worth studying—it is curated with the same care as the food.
