The story
Luso occupies the Fitzrovia address at 30 Charlotte Street in London, serving Portuguese cuisine inspired by the wider Iberian coast and land. Chef Leo Carreira took the helm after Lisboeta closed, bringing experience from The Sea The Sea Hackney where he won The Good Food Guide's Best Front Row Seat award. The kitchen's output has earned Luso a Readers Recommend status in The Good Food Guide for 2026, backed by the MJMK Restaurants group.
The menu draws heavily from coastal traditions, featuring wild sea bass baked in salt alongside native Cornish lobster rice prepared head-to-tail. Guests can also request Iberian ham from Salamanca to be sliced to order, highlighting the breadth of the Iberian focus. These dishes anchor a dining approach that balances seafood precision with cured meat craftsmanship.
The drink program features olive oil martinis and a wine list anchored by producers like Herdade do Cebolal. Some selections include bottles aged underwater off the Alentejan coast. The venue welcomes diners for lunch and dinner, offering express options and chef's selection menus across Tuesday to Saturday, while Monday opens at 5.30pm for evening service.
