The story
Standing at the heart of Old Chelsea, No. Fifty Cheyne is a neighbourhood restaurant that has earned a Michelin Recommended award for 2026. The kitchen is led by Executive Head Chef Iain Smith, whose constantly evolving menu celebrates the finest British ingredients, all centred around the restaurant’s calescent open grill.
Smith, drawing on his homeland, has designed a range of menus built on exceptional British produce sourced from trusted suppliers. The à la carte offers lighter options, from seasonal salads to seafood dishes, alongside a robust selection of classic grill dishes. The restaurant is also known for its famous Saturday and Sunday roasts, which have become a fixture for locals and visitors alike.
The space itself is elegant and welcoming, with stylish interiors and an open kitchen that creates a sense of luxury without pretension. Overlooking Cheyne Gardens and the River Thames, the dining room offers views of the iconic Albert Bridge. The team here has experience hosting royals and stars of stage and screen, and the service is warm and professional.
Complementing the Modern British cuisine, the wine list has been carefully curated by Smith himself, who has selected some of his favourite wines to offer at extraordinary value. The restaurant also offers complimentary corkage on one bottle per reservation.
For private events, the Drawing Room can host up to 40 guests for civil ceremonies and weddings, making it a versatile venue for special occasions. No. Fifty Cheyne is open for lunch and dinner, with a special Surf & Turf promotion running Monday to Saturday.
