The story
Behind the red doors at 17 Berkeley Street lies Park Chinois, an opulent world inspired by the glamour of 1930s Shanghai. Designed by Jacques Garcia, the restaurant offers two distinct experiences under one roof. The Salon de Chine, a refined dining room with gilded ceilings and silk lampshades, is currently undergoing a thoughtful restoration and returns in September 2026. Until then, the action descends to Club Chinois — a decadent supper club where fine Chinese dining meets the energy of London’s nightlife.
At the heart of Park Chinois is authentic Chinese cuisine, crafted with the finest seasonal ingredients and modern techniques. The kitchen team, renowned in both East and West, brings honest flavours and creative touches honed through world travel. The menu ranges from handcrafted dim sum to the house special: a 72-hour roasted Duck de Chine. Whether you come for a business lunch, weekend dim sum, or a long, lavish dinner, the cooking is bold and unapologetic. This commitment to quality has earned the restaurant a Michelin Recommended distinction.
Club Chinois is London’s most lavish night out — an opulent hideaway where exquisite Chinese dishes and signature cocktails are served against the backdrop of resident DJs. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 6pm, it blends dining with late-night sophistication. The Wave Bar, an intimate underground cocktail destination, offers expertly crafted drinks and a refined escape. The Salon Bar, with its green onyx and red velvet, is open daily from 6pm for walk-in guests. Both bars are perfect for a pre-dinner aperitif or a late-night digestif.
For celebrations and exclusive events, Park Chinois offers three luxurious private dining spaces: the intimate Salon Noir, the radiant Salon Rouge, and the larger Opera room. Each space provides personalised service and the same exceptional food and drink, making them ideal for unforgettable moments in opulent surroundings.
