The story
Parsons London anchors Covent Garden's seafood scene, where owners Will Palmer and Ian Campbell champion seasonal seafood with minimal interference. The restaurant opened in December 2017 as a counterpart to The 10 Cases across the street, fulfilling a long-held vision for the archetypal British fish house. Palmer and Campbell named the venue to honour their mothers, whose shared surname became the foundation for this intimate kitchen.
The cooking philosophy prioritises seasonality over complexity, allowing the quality of ingredients arriving via two daily coast deliveries to drive the menu.
The single-sheet menu shifts with daily landings, offering everything from small plates to whole roasted fish. Standouts include a turbot accompanied by mussel beurre blanc and Avruga caviar, or skrei cod atop Jerusalem artichokes and lemon beurre blanc. Simpler preparations shine equally well, featuring potted shrimp croquettes alongside a Loch Fyne scallop croque monsieur where sweet shellfish meets buttery toast.
Seating arrangements maximise the compact site, with table seating along one side, high-top stools at the bar, and window spots reserved for walk-ins. An alfresco pavement terrace extends the dining area during warmer months. A recent Good Food Guide commendation notes the team's success in turning fresh seafood into satisfying dishes while curating an eclectic wine list dominated by whites that invite guests to explore beyond standard choices. Desserts provide a fitting end, with offerings like Welsh rarebit appearing alongside a tart-sweet blood orange sorbet.
