The story
For over two decades, the Royal China Group has set the standard for authentic Cantonese cuisine in London. At its flagship Royal China Club on Baker Street, this legacy reaches its finest expression. The restaurant has long been regarded as one of the capital’s leading Cantonese and Chinese restaurants, and its reputation is recognised with a Michelin Recommended award.
The menu showcases classic Cantonese craftsmanship, led by award-winning Executive Chef Billy Wong. Handmade Dim Sum is a highlight, alongside signature dishes such as whole abalone, pan-fried king scallops with foie gras, and chilli sea bass rolls. The renowned Barbecued Peking Duck and fresh seafood, including Wild Scottish Lobster, demonstrate the kitchen’s commitment to exceptional ingredients and refined techniques.
The surroundings are elegant and sophisticated, with three private dining suites available for intimate gatherings. Seasonal menus, curated Chinese teas, and attentive service have drawn notable guests including Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and respected food writers.
After 20 years at Baker Street, the estate is undergoing redevelopment. Royal China Club will serve its final meal at this location on Sunday, 8 March 2026. The team looks forward to welcoming guests again in 2027 at a new, larger location. Until then, diners are invited to enjoy one last memorable experience at the current address.
