The story
North Port Restaurant opened as a family business, with Andrew heading the kitchen and Karen managing front of house and marketing. The couple have carefully selected ingredients from small, local growers, breeders, suppliers and foragers, placing the emphasis on provenance and seasonality. The result is a modern cuisine that feels rooted in the landscape of Perthshire.
In 2026, North Port was recognised by the Michelin Guide with a Recommended rating, a testament to the consistent quality and thoughtful cooking emerging from Andrew’s kitchen. The accolade places the restaurant among the notable addresses in Scotland’s dining landscape.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday, with a pre-theatre dinner service from 5pm to 6.30pm. The à la carte menu changes to reflect the best of what local suppliers offer. For private gatherings, the Tay Room seats up to twelve guests and can be tailored to suit different tastes and budgets.
North Port has quickly become a fixture in Perth’s vibrant eating out scene. Whether for a leisurely lunch or an evening meal, the restaurant offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere and cooking that lets the ingredients speak.
