The story
In the countryside of Old Windsor, The Loch & The Tyne is a British gastropub with a refined edge. It is part of the Adam Handling Collection and is headed by Chef Proprietor Steven Kerr, who has worked with Adam Handling since 2008. The name itself tells the story: "Loch" for Adam's Scottish roots and "Tyne" for Steven's Geordie heritage from Newcastle, bringing their two worlds together.
The kitchen focuses on British Contemporary cooking that is simple in concept but luxurious in execution. The menu changes regularly, driven by seasonal produce from local suppliers and the pub's own vegetable gardens and orchards. Classic pub dishes are given a new lease of life with higher-end ingredients, while some signature favourites from the team's history remain on offer. Sunday lunch is a particular draw, designed for sharing with friends and family—dogs are welcome, too.
The recognition of a Michelin Bib Gourmand speaks to the consistency of the cooking and the value of the experience, a mark of the quality that runs through every dish.
For private gatherings, The Wine Cellar seats up to twelve guests and offers a choice of feasting menus or a bespoke menu built around your favourite ingredients.
