The story
Rubino Kitchen sits in the quiet Essex village of Inworth, just outside Tiptree. From its welcoming dining room, the restaurant offers a distinctly modern take on British seasonal cooking.
The kitchen team runs a tight à la carte menu, a set-price option, and a Sunday roast that has become a local institution. Beyond the restaurant, Rubino Kitchen also operates as a private chef service and outside caterer. The space is available for exclusive hire and weddings, making it a flexible choice for celebrations small and large.
Rubino Kitchen is proudly child-friendly. Its Kids Cookery Club, started in 2017, teaches 9 to 13 year olds basic knife skills, cooking techniques, and how to make dishes from scratch. Sessions are held at the restaurant and in local schools – a hands-on way to connect children with real food.
In 2026, Rubino Kitchen received Michelin Recommended status, recognising the consistent quality of its Modern British cooking. The award reflects the restaurant’s focus on clear flavours, careful sourcing, and a relaxed, no-fuss atmosphere that keeps regulars coming back.
Open for lunch and dinner Friday to Saturday, and for Sunday roasts only on Sundays, the restaurant takes bookings by phone or email. Walk-in seating may be available, but a reservation is recommended.
